Okay, so I didn't post for almost a week and today I have two posts .....
This week's True Blood challenge is all about ME :-) or actually all about what is my most memorable moment from True Blood Season 1 - the HBO version of the Sookie Stackhouse novels. While some of my least fav moments come from areas where the HBO series departs immensely from the books, a diversion from the book is actually the basis for my fav episode.
My fav episode was definitely the one where Sookie, wearing her diaphanous white nightgown is running through the cemetary to Bill's house (Episode 6 - Cold Ground) and Bill senses she's coming and opens the door to watch her run up to the house. This wasn't in the book, at all - but I thought it was PURE GENIUS on the HBO series.
I decided to use the white cotton nightgown, hanging on the clotheline after its freshly laundered as the centerpiece for me card. The sentiment is a K & Co rub-on and the it says "devoted to you". The nightgown in a piece of vellum that I free form cut out, I sponged the edges in white just to give it some "pop". I used some pearly dew drops to attach it the clothesline (which is a piece of twine). The background is a piece of blue/white dsp, that I sanded to really soften it up.
