Butterfly Wishes {EIC141}

 

This is the last of the Etsy challenges!  Its been soo fun, I loved to play along!  A huge thanks to Ashley and De, and everyone else who has been a part of EIC, for providing so much inspiration!  My card features a watercolored background in bright colors, a stamped sentiment from Unity perfect for a wedding, and some embossed butterflies handmade from aluminum foil!

This challenge featured the Etsy store:  Homes and Weddings,  featuring unique designs in wire for tables, vases, placecard holders, wine bottles & glasses - perfect for a reception or even your next dinner party.  My inspiration came from this:

vintage pansies {eic140}

 

I have been playing with my colored pencil and odorless mineral spirits - and these pansies (aks Year of Flowers Violets from Papertrey Ink) were my recent target.  I matched them up with Button Boutique set and some paper from Graphic 45.  After coloring the flowers and cutteing them out - I used my Tim Holtz Rock Candy (clear crackle paint) over top of them for a cool effect - here's a close-up:

 

These flowers were inspired by this week's Etsy Inspired Chalenge and the Peaden Scott Designs  store: Peaden Scott Designs.

My inspiration came from the flowers on this card:  

etsy inspired friday ! (EIC138)

 

Its an etsy inspired type of day!   I am jumping in quick to get in EIC138 featuring the Etsy store of  Bear Creek Design!  OH MY! These little needle felted creations are the cutest and they have kits!  If you've never tried needle felting (one of my fav hobbies besides papercrafting!) you can get started inexpensively with one of their kits.

I was inspired by the flower needle felting kit to make these sweet flowers!

 

The deets:

Cardstock:  So Saffron (SU) with First Edition dsp (also SU), watercolor paper
Stamp:   Friends till the End from PTI
The image is embossed and then watercolored with several SU reinkers.   The whole thing is glazed in Gel Gloss medium.  A bit of ribbon from my collection completes it.

I love this digi sentiment from Squigglefly and its soooo easy to use!  I printed several in a few different sizes, and keep them on hand for quick paper crafting.

 

This card is for Etsy Inspired #133 featuring the XS Baggage store - handmade laptops sleeves, kindle covers, pouches, etc.   I loved that fabric called "Twilight Moon" (above) but the pattern that inspired this card is this lovely black and white damask shown below.

I'm playing along with Etsy Inspired on this week's challenge: Desired Things is full of quirky, mixed media jewelry.    On this card, the felted heart is hand made by me - needle felting using wool in various shades of green. I beaded the extra detail too.  The wool heart is a pin, so just unpin the heart and you can wear it on your sleeve (or your lapel!) lol!

I'm playing along with the Etsy Inspired challenge today.  This week's Etsy Inspired features the fun photo shop the The Hidden Alphabet to get inspired! You are going to love all these ordinary objects and architectural elements that are turned into photographic art--that resemble letters of the alphabet! It is amazing where you will find "hidden letters"!

I was inspired by this wonderful architectural initial and decided to do a mono-chromatic inspired card.  I also discovered that at the Hidden Alphabet store, if you click on the individual letters - there are more styles avaiable than what the picture shows (I think there were 8 different styles of the letter M ).  I embossed some paper to give some details, and added a bit of sequin scrim (punchanella).

I'm playing along with Etsy Inspired today, featuring the store of Claylicious ceramic gifts that are functional and decorative! There are dishes, plates, mugs, jars, wall art....and MORE!  My trio of card werew inspired by the clay creations and colors found in this store.  Here are a few a my favorite:

A Girl's Gotta do ..... {eic126}

Happy Friday, I am glad the weekend is in sight!

Here's a stamp I adore!   Kraftin' Kimmie had a great sale two weeks ago and I acquired this great stamp - Druscilla! Druscilla always makes me smile cause she's busy gettin' even with her voo doo doll :-) ! Aren't there days where you would like to stick a pin into someone?   I'm going to add the Sassy Sentiment "A Girl's Gotta Do What a Girl's Gotta Do" somewhere on the card (the sentiment is also from Kraftin' Kimmie).

 

She's colored with copic markers, and the pin heads are liquid pearls from Ranger (they're soft pink - so girly!).  The paper is Kraft CS (PTI) and dsp from Stampin' Up Raspberry Tart.  The ribbon is recycled silk sari and the button is heart shaped, I thought it was a great reflection of the heart on the little voo doo doll.

The paper and colors are inspired for the Etsy Inspired Challenge this week featuring the shop of Glow Girl and her functional and very useful grocery store coupon organizers, and this pink damask coupon organizer - how cool is that it hooks onto your cart for everything at your fingertips.

 

 

a book is like a garden {EIC125}

 
This week the Etsy Inspired Challenge features a fun and shop to check out --Daisy Petal Designs. OH MY--these hair accessories and jewelry pieces would definitely add something pretty to anyone's day !! Daisy Petal Designs has two stores! You can check out all the fabulous pieces HERE and HERE! I couldn't help it--I'm sharing some below! WOW--these pieces are beautiful! 

I love to read, so when I saw this digital stamp from Squigglefly - I knew I had to have it!  If you haven't checked out Squigglefly - you really should! .  And can you believe - this digital image cost less than $1?  Yep, this digital image (and all the others at Squigglefly) are inexpensive and you can use them over and over again. 

So I'm showcasing TWO cards with this set.  The first is printed on white cardstock and cut with a circle nestability (above)

The second card is printed on white vellum, but layered BEHIND a vellum panel (both of these are from Webster's Pages) for a very soft look pictured below:
