One thing I love about the papercrafting community - its the willingness to jump in and to help others!
Kate from SCS has made this request:
With a bunch of sets retiring I have a large favor to ask as you go through your card fronts. My brother in law is a cheif in the navy and his aircraft carrier (USS Kearsage) leaves for a year in July. I would LOVE you be able to send him off with cards for his women and men to send back home to their families.
Please, Please if you are trying to figure out what you are going to do with all your old card fronts keep me in mind so I can make them a full card and send them away with him in July. There are lots of people on that ship and I would really love if lots of them had the opportunity to send cards back home. There are over 3100 men and women on that ship and it is my personal mission to get as many a card to send home as I can!!!!!
I will make them full cards and send along envelopes all I need are some card fronts to stick on them!
If you have cardfronts or full cards and want to donate, the address is:
Kate Lougee
240 E. Jeanette Pl.
Mundelein, IL 60060
I went through my "stash" and found over 100 fronts to donate to the cause! (Wow! they really pile up, don't they!) I know Kate can also use envelopes and cardstock with this project.
Rebecca, You are always so considerate of others and kind. Thank you for encouraging us all to share our talents with others.
Smiles,
Nancy Grant
