a little Eclipse fun over at Friends Having Fun

At the Friends Having Fun challenge blog this week it was all about Eclipse!  Have you seen it?  What did ya think?  No spoilers please, I won't see it till this weekend!  And no worries, my project features "the pack" but I am still firmly Team Edward. 

This project - a collage bookmark - features stamps from Dragonfly Curls, you can find them on Etsy <---- click to go check them out.  If you don't see the wolf pack tattoo stamp, I'm sure you can enquire, all the stamps are handmade.   The fibers are vintage rayon .... I'm not sure but they may be seam bindings.  You can find more of these from atPolly's Place on Etsy <-----click.

Stamps:   Twilight Wolf, Wolf Pack Tattoo stamps {dragonflycurls} and the distressed Music stamp from Unity
Inks:  Tuxedo black (Memento) and Tim Holtz distressed inks in Peeled Paint, Wild Honey and Rusty Hinge.
Fibers:  some absolutely fabulous vintage seam binding that my friend Dani sent me. 
 

TTIC Farewell Blog Hop

Hey everyone!

I am very excited to bring you something special for our last Twilight Tuesday Inspiration Challenge {and I've got Blog Candy, so keep reading!}.  For this event, we're doing a DT blog hop in reverse alphabetical order.  Our challenge theme????  "Love of books, the printed words on a page"  since that is what brought us all together.  Even though this is our last time the design time will officially be together and I'm sad about that, I have loved every minute of my time with the design team! 

Create a project that uses printed text: a page from a magazine, book, dictionary, etc. within your project, as the background or focal point.

Comment portion: I love to read the newspaper online but nothing beats a printed newspaper on Sunday mornings. And no matter how hard I try, I can't abandon books (hardcover, softcover, or paperback) to a digital reader. Are you totally digital or do you prefer a good old fashioned printed page in your hands?"

Here's my project, I used an old book to make a large focal flower.  I used my "pinked circles" dies from nestabilities. there are six layers, I sponged them together, then crumpled to distress and give some dimension.  The button is actually sewn onto the flower so the two elements are securely together.

Simple things, simple joys {ttsc20}

 

 Its TTSC 20 our twentieth sketch challenge!  This is our final week of Twilight Tuesday challenges but we have something special lined up for Tuesday.  You'll see I'm not a stickler for "strict interpretations" of the sketch challenge, I flipped it to a landscape layout and then moved the elements around a bit. 

Stamps:  Fifth Avenue Floral (SU) and Handwritten Notes (PTI)
Cardstock:  Plum Pudding (PTI)
Paper:  Prima
Accessories:  Spring Moss grosgrain (PTI) and rhinestones

a special TT color challenge for Jake! TTCC4

This is our fourth and final color challenge for Twilight Tuesday:  Jacob's colors.  

 
  If I haven't told y'all already, I have LOVED every minute of Twilight Tuesday - its been such a fun JOY filled endeavor.  When I first started this - I really had no idea how I was going to create a card or project EACH week around Twilight but soon found myself filtering life through "twilight colored" glasses.    And here it is a year and half later!  Its been a great JOURNEY!  A huge shout out to Beth, Jen, Julie, Dani, Margie, Eve, Donna, Jodi, Erica, Allison and Jacquie for being so great to work with.  A special thank you to Tonya - the creator and owner of Twilight Tuesday.   

Next week will be our last week of challenges and I still haven't figured out how I will fill my Tuesdays afterwards.    Dani has a wonderful sketch for next week and I choose the final challenge theme so please come back for our final week :-) and then come back and visit me often! 

After tuesday's project that was sponged and smudged, I went with "clean and simple" I thought it suited Jake well.  This is a postcard that is mailng to Bella with the simple advice to :

"Enjoy everyday, enjoy life"

Stamps:   Postcard (Unity), sentiment is from Handwritten Notes (PTI)

Cardstock:  Kraft (PTI),  Kiwi Kiss textured (SU) and Very Vanilla (SU)

Ink:   Dark Chocolate and True Black (PTI), Chamomille tea distress ink (PTI)

Accessories:  Spring Moss (PTI) with russet grosgrain ribbon (unknown)
 

TTCC #3 Bella's Wedding colors {done!}

Whew!  I finished!  This was fun!!!!! Although it was colors I don't normally work in!  Lilac, Peach and Pink!   I'm going to be short since I'm running so far behind this week (and its only Tuesday!) !  Please come back on Thursday when I have a special Twilight Tuesday Color Challenge !

A few details:

Stamp: from the the Unity November Kit of the Month and inside is the sentiment - Make Everyday Magical.  The focal image is heat embossed in white and then I sponged the colors onto the image.

CS:  Lovely Lilac (SU)

Paper:  is from Basic Grey, I think its "Perhaps" but it seems to have gotten separated from the rest of the stack

Deets: bottom right is sprayed with Tattered Angels in "Pashmina".   Pink taffeta ribbon from SU.

I found Graphics 45 paper this weekend while out of town shopping!   So my card today features it!  I used the Twilight Tuesday Sketch (#19) Challenge . I challenged myself to use my copics!    The main image is from Unity's January 10 Kit of the Month, the sentiment is from Imaginesce and was a gift from Margie (thanks Margie!).

Purple Prince {Prince Ian}

Here's Prince Ian - he's a FREE digi stamp from the folks at The Greeting Farm blog <----- click to go get him (I have no idea if he'll be available free forever, or if this is a limited time offer).

I thought he'd look princely in purple - so this is Rich Razzleberry from SU, with some cardtstock in coordinating colors from K & Co.

Bella's Thoughts {TTCC2}

What  a fun week it is for Twilight Tuesday, this week's color challene is taken from Bella's thoughts and features Garnet, Phoenix sky blue and Forks's sky gray.   Aren't these colors just delicious???

My challenge inspired by these colors was first a bracelet and then I made another of "My Time Made Easy's" Cutesy Cover template for packaging.   The bracelet uses brads, silver tone chain and I added a little sparkle with some Black Diamond swarovski crystals.

 The box uses My Mind's Eye Bohemia paper in that lovely combination of blue and red, the sentiment was a gift from Jen (its from Verve stamps, thanks Jen!) I stamped it in gray, then added a few rhinestones for sparkle!  PTI's Aqua Mist ribbon ties the whole thing up for quick giftability.

Mer Ian {a greeting farm CHA contest}

How fun is Mer Ian?  Just an absolute ton of fun! 

Here he is ...in "mermaid" colors, the foil embossed panel blends a little bit better IMO than it shows in the pic.   I glittered his hair, 'cause who doesn't love glittery hair :-) !
