Let me start out by saying: I'm a impulse shopper! If I see something I like, I'm likely to buy it on the spot. Well ... one day a while back, I saw an banner ad for Kitchen Sink stamps, with these incredible hibiscus flowers! I *knew* I had to have one! I love flowers! I love 'em here in Florida and they remind me so much of Hawaii! I am fascinated by all the colors they come in!
These stamps may seem intimidating, the Hibiscus actually uses a 5 layer process! If you ever used Stampin' Up's Definitely Decorative (like Roses in Winter or other sets) you can do it! Actually, since these are CLEAR they are really incredibly easy to use, resulting in very vivid images that have depth to them. The stamps are even numbered for you and come in several sizes (note, the smaller size are 3 or 4 layers). Turns out, picking out my colors was the hardest choice! I did the cards in two different color scheme - I'll save the other for another day. Today's card, I went with my FAVORITE colors! (Yep, you guessed it pinks!). So ... here's the colors used (bottom to top, lightest to darkest): Pretty in Pink, Regal Rose (stamped off once for lighter color), Regal Rose (full strength), Rose Red, and Purely Pomegranate. The greens were: Certainly Celery, Wild Wasabi and Garden Green.
I just love the set! I can see myself using it for all sorts of occasions and cards!
