thinking of blogging?

I think I've mentioned that its my blog-o-versary!  Two years I've been blogging and I really enjoy it.   I started blogging as a way to push myself .... creatively and just to find more time to do what I love - STAMP and CREATE!  I think I've come along way in my stamping skills - so I just want to thank you! 

And if you've ever thought of starting a blog .... Typepad has a wonderful free trial so that you can try it for yourself.  Choose from hundreds of already designed templates or create your own and BLOG IT, BABY!

Create a Twilight project dedicate to The Mom in your life

I have two projects ... the first is a little digi creation.  I'm trying to teach myself a graphics program. I don't do great by reading from a book, but I'm trying new stuff here and there.  This is a "button" you're welcome to "right click" on it (above or below) and save it to your computer (its a jpg) and use for your blog, webpages, in your signature file or just about anything else EXCEPT sell it.  Its there in two different sizes.   If you would like it even smaller, just let me know.  

 
For my second project .....{bear with me while I explain how I got here}  I was pondering moms .... and things that define moms.  And one of the things I thought of was how mom's always keep your projects and often show them off on the refrigerator!  And thinking of the refrigerator (stay with me) I thought it would be fun to create something for Twilight Moms to use on their fridges!  So .... here is my project!

Its a tin with all sorts of magnetic Twi inspired elements and I think there is something for everyone!  I used a variety of fonts, including Bellas, Edward's and Jacob's handwriting.  As well as some really great fonts including Zephyr (Twi font), bleeding comboys, and a font called "mia's scribblings".  Quotes from the book and some of my fav Twi inspired phrases, all printed on magnetic sheets.  Plus a few flowers for added decoration.  And its all in a little tin that you can also use as your blackboard if you don't have any refrigerator space.  Even the title is a magnet! So - you have all kinds of options.  I plan on embellishing these with a bit of stamping, too.

Sunny skies, carefree days {kickback} Unity HHH 2/26/09

Welcome to my week's installment of Unity HHH ... this week I have two challenge cards and a scrappy little project featuring the KOTM.

 

And this one featuring a matching envelope:

 

I just sponged the ground in several shades of green.  The snail is stamped on scrapbook paper (Cosmo Cricket Fleuriste) and then cut out, the clouds are done my simply sponging white ink on.  The inks I've used - I *really* recommend - Dark Chocolate and Fresh Snow (both from Papertrey ink - Palette inks in their perfect match color system).  The snail has a sentiment, but I simply masked it and didn't ink that part, then hand wrote it on the side. It may not be perceptible from the pic, but I used crystal effects (diamond glaze) trailing behind the snail!  thanks Staci {misermom} for that idea!

If I forgot to mention this, I'm celebrating TWO years of blogging!  (two year blog-o-versary) and I've got a number of little giveaways planned.  All you have to do is leave me a comment and you'll be registered to win (one comment per person, please).  For this project I used "True Black" ink from PTI and Palette inks.  Palette Ink in Noir has long been my favorite black to use, but PTI recently worked with Palette and created a newer, improved black ink.  Its available only through PTI.    *This black is sooooo vivid, its amazing!*

Today's giveaway is this scrappy little project.  Its made with Fleuriste paper from Cosmo Cricket - in totally yummy greys, verdigris patina (blue green think aged copper) and rosey tones.  I've stamped little sentiments from various Unity Kits including:
