I recently ordered Sentiments O' Simple from Unity - and in there was this *most perfect* sentiment "Love has no boundaries" ..... such a perfect sentiment a Twilight inspired card!

This features Bella's truck - the red rusty Chevy.  The background is the Floral stamp from SU.  The gorgeous rich velvety red cardstock is Pure Poppy from PTI.  I watercolored Bella's truck with Riding Hood Red, Ruby Red and some Really Rust for character.

Have you heard the movie soundtrack?  I usually don't buy soundtracks ... liking only one or two songs - but this one is different!  So many great songs, Perry Ferrell, Mutemath, Linkin Park, Muse .....

Leave me a comment letting me know what your favorite thing about the Twilight books is, who your favorite character is, which is your favorite song - etc!  I'll choose a winner Friday in celebration of the opening of the movie.  The giveaway is this card and the brand new Border's exclusive CD soundtrack.

Here's my picks:  my fav character Alice (yep, I'm betting on Alice) and my fav soundtrack song is probably a toss up between Perry Ferrell and Mutemath (with Linkin Park and Muse right behind).   I also adore Bella, not just for the obvious reasons - but because like her I talk in my sleep!  I've given away some real secrets :-)

Little 3 x 3 gift card (and Blog Candy!)

I needed a gift and had been wanting to try another card featuring Kiwi Kiss and Pacific Point.

I just trimmed up my Kiwi Kiss cardstock to make a 3 x 3 card.  I used the medallion from the Wanted stamp set, with a "rock and roll" technique for the stamped image.   The medallion stamp is first stamped in Kiwi Kiss, then the edges inked with Pacific Point.  I stamped the sentiment from the Warm Words stamp set in Pacific Point.  A pewter jumbo eyelet and wide Chocolate Chip grosgrain ribbon tie the whole thing together.

Inside .... is a very special gift!  Any guesses?

I can't believe its been one year already since I've started!  I work full time and sometimes I have trouble finding time to stamp and finding creativity ... so I started blogging as a way to push myself to (at least) set aside time to stamp on a regular basis!  Along the way, I've made tons of new friends, gotten all kinds of positive feedback and tried out a few new techniques. 

To celebrate my year ... I'm giving away a "Lots of Thoughts" SU stamp set.  As it is, its a set of 6 stamps ... but it could actually become a set of 24 *if* you want to cut the sentiments apart!  Just leave me a comment and on Saturday I will draw one name randomly.

My card panel today features the "negative" image from embossing. Its technique challenge 160 on Splitcoast stampers (click the link to read how to do it).  I also think I created a new color along the way "Limon"!  I accidentally discovered it when I had inked up my stamp in Wild Wasabi, stamped once, and then inked in Yo Yo Yellow without cleaning it!  I tried to show off the color in the second photo (but its the bright color where the word "happiness" is).  The cardstock is Yo Yo Yellow, Wild Wasabi and Pumpkin pie. The stamp set is "Tart and Tangy" and "Warm Words" both from SU.

My inspiration ... its orange blossom time in FL!  The oranges are almost all harvested and the orange trees (and grapefruit, lime, lemon, tangerine) are all blossoming!  The air is filled with the heady, super sweet scent!
