It's almost time to get my Christmas cards out in the mail - that annual ritual of sending out a card to friends and family. As a cardmaker - I feel like I "should" make my cards. I have a ton of stamps and supplies, the thing I don't have it the time to do it. And did I ever mention I don't like to mass produce? I find it quite repetitious to even make 5 of a design, let alone 50. And I really don't like the feeling .... hanging over me to get my holiday cards completed in a timely manner that allows me to get them out in the mail BEFORE Christmas, lol!
So this year, I think I hit upon the most perfect solution! I can design my card - either using a photograph or a digital scrapbook layout and get them printed. And its soooo easy! I can upload my photograph and choose one of Shutterfly's layouts - square, portrait, landscape in a variety of colors and themes. Or I can utilize a whole photograph or digital layout of my creation and just upload it onto the site. All I have to select how many and they will be printed and sent on their way! They will even mail them to people in you select, or you can have them shipped back to you.
In other words: My Photos + Shutterfly = Holiday Happiness
In poking around the Shutterfly site ... I found these, too:
So the only question remains ... which design will I choose? I which photo? Maybe my picture of the Crab Trap Christmas tree here on the waterfront:
Or maybe I'll work on a digital layout, I purchased some wonderful card templates at Studio Girls/Scrap Book Graphics for the holidays. I might design a card to go with my new blog banner.
And here's one of my favorite elf - Wednesday:
(the hat is digitally imposed :-) Wednesday was not actually forced to wear a Santa hat!)
And here's great holiday news ... Bloggers can get 50 cards free from Shutterfly <---- just click to get the details.
What do you think? Have you ordered from Shutterfly? I'd love to hear from you!
