This month's blog hop challenge from Papertrey Ink was to create something using our favorite color combos, and therein lies the challenge :-) choosing just one combination!
While I love most colors, the color combo I keep coming back to is
Aqua Mist and Pure Poppy, throw in either Kraft or Hawaiian Shores or Spring Moss to complete it.
For this project I took some tag shaped pieces of wood and painted them in a color close to Aqua Mist. I sanded them for smoothness and put them together with some ball chain for a mini scrapbook (you could use a binder ring for this too). I added some ribbons onto a tiny binder ring and some buttons just cause I like a lot of motion.
The flower is with PTI dies using pages from an old book, I then sponged the edges in pure poppy and added another button. I usually hold books sacred, but I bought an old book at a thrift store where the spine and some of the pages were already damaged - so I didn't feel bad about using the rest of the book for my papercrafting.
The stamped sentiment is from Handwritten Notes. Did I forget any of the deets?
Enjoy the blog hop!
